Dan Carscallen is a lifelong Moscow resident, graduating from both Moscow High School (’87) and the University of Idaho (BS Ag. Ed. ’91). Dan has worked for the North Latah County Highway District since 1992, and has been the clerk of the district since 2001. Dan also served on the Latah County Zoning Commission in 2006-07, and was elected to the Moscow City Council in 2007. He was re-elected twice more, and served until he resigned in 2016. Dan is currently a Battalion Chief and EMT with the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department, where he’s been serving since 2007.
Dan lives in Moscow with his wife (another MHS and UI grad, as well as a Captain and Paramedic with the MVFD), and his son and daughter, who are also Moscow High School grads and both currently attending the University of Idaho. Dan chose to serve on the Moscow Education Foundation board to help get the Foundation started and is looking forward to what sort of activities it will support.
