Anne Klowden was an educator for 38 years, teaching in Chicago and at the University of Georgia, Washington State University, and University of Idaho. Most recently, she was the Gifted and Talented Facilitator at McDonald Elementary School for 18 years until her retirement in 2008. She conducted writing workshops for teachers in Moscow and surrounding cities and was the director of the district’s Mentor Program for new teachers. She has served on the Board of Directors for both Festival Dance and the Tamarack Reading Council. Anne and Marc’s two children attended Moscow public schools.
